Professional Advocacy and/or Befriending Services for people with dementia and/or their carers

Advocacy services specialising in Care Act Advocacy. Experienced and qualified advocate to 'give a voice' to people living with dementia or to a carer (could be spouse, son, daughter, carer etc.). This could be in a formal setting, ie dealing with Social Services or an informal setting where it is likely that a person could be overlooked and not listened to.
In many cases advocacy is not needed - just someone to chat with on a regular basis. This is the Befriending Service.
Advocacy services are issue based and the advocacy comes to an end when the person has reached their outcome. Befriending services can be short or long term
